A SEASON OF GRATITUDE
HONORING MAESTRO PETER RUBARDT

As the Meridian Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 65th Anniversary, we also prepare to say farewell to a conductor whose legacy has become woven into our own. After more than a decade of extraordinary leadership, Maestro Peter Rubardt will take his final bow at the podium—leaving behind a legacy of transformation, inspiration, and symphonic excellence.

Since his first concert with the MSO, Maestro Rubardt has elevated every aspect of our organization. Under his baton, the orchestra expanded in size and artistic scope, concert attendance grew, and new traditions like the Peppermint Pops and Symphony Chorus blossomed. His gift for connecting with musicians and audiences alike brought a new energy to the stage—and a renewed sense of purpose to our mission.

An advocate for community and creativity, Maestro Rubardt has led us through groundbreaking performances, emotional premieres, and unforgettable collaborations. His vision helped usher in a new chapter of growth, all while maintaining the highest artistic standards.

This season, we celebrate not just our history, but his—as we say thank you to a maestro who has forever shaped the sound, soul, and spirit of the Meridian Symphony. Join us as we raise our instruments and hearts in tribute to Peter Rubardt, with special recognition during his final Peppermint Pops performance.
