INTRODUCING OUR 2023-24

Symphony%2525252520Orchestra%2525252520l

The Untuxed Musician Series shines a spotlight on acclaimed artists from Meridian, and others throughout the South, in a personal and relaxed atmosphere. This Series is designed to bring attention to the magnificent and historically significant architecture of the Queen City and serves as a platform for musicians to showcase the many facets of their talents.

The Untuxed Series highlights the incredible artistry infused in Meridian, swirled throughout Mississippi, and scattered liberally around the Southeast. These concerts allow us to celebrate our musical heritage and inspire new generations of artists. Whether it’s a Grammy, a Dove, or a chart-topping single, you’ll find plenty of award-winning music in this group to enjoy — and maybe a few that passed you by, but are definitely worth getting to know!

A Night of Soul @ Soulé

The Music of Motown, The Ruffin Brothers, & Eddie Houston

Featuring The Soul Tones

Saturday, November 18 2023

So far, we’ve had a steamy night and a cool night at Soulé. This time, how about a soulful night? Join us for our biggest and grooviest Soulé collaboration yet as we once again enjoy exquisite victuals in the Soulé Foundry, mix and mingle among the hidden cobblestone alleyways, stroll through the depths of this rare historical gem, relax and take in a good movie (of historical significance, of course) in the Welcome Center’s newly refurbished theater, and groove until your soul is content with The Soul Tones at Meridian’s historic Soulé Steam Works. A date night extraordinaire!

Due to popular demand, we’ve opened up even more seating this year, but tickets will still be limited due to space restrictions. Reservations will be first come, first serve; and tickets will not be available at the door. This event is an expected sell-out, so get your tickets early!

Espresso & Prosecco

The Bach Coffee Cantata Featuring The Cantata Quartet

Thursday, January 25 2024

Do you know, in 1734, Johann Sebastian Bach wrote a cantata about the temptation and power of coffee? Bach wrote the “Coffee Cantata,” a humorous one act operetta about a stern father’s attempt to check his daughter’s indulgence in the much loved Saxon habit of coffee drinking.

Perhaps, had he been born into this modern world, you might have found Bach hanging out at his local Starbucks in Leipzig, drawing inspiration (and sweet sustenance) from the joy of coffee just as he did at the Zimmermannsche Kaffeehaus in 1702.

Whether you prefer one brew over the other, we invite you to join us for an evening of roguery at its best featuring the captivating Cantata Quartet for Bach’s “tongue-in-cheek” Coffee Cantata.
