Music of the Movies

Saturday, February 5, 2022

Enjoy the amazing sounds of some of your favorite movies — Star Wars, The Avengers, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, and more!  This evening will be fun for the whole family and folks of all ages.  You won’t want to miss the special, costumed guests and great photo opportunities.  Come casual or dress up — the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire; Jack Sparrow or Will Turner — the choice is yours!

Grammy® nominated trumpeter Dr. T.J. Tesh will delight the audience as he ushers us through this cinematic adventure! T.J. is a Yamaha and Pickett Brass Performing Artist who currently serves as Assistant Professor of Trumpet at The University of Southern Mississippi. T.J. relocated to Mississippi after an exciting career as a freelance trumpeter and music educator in the Los Angeles area. T.J. has enjoyed an eclectic performance career having performed with music legends like Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Quincy Jones, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band and many others. He is principal trumpet in MSO, acting principal trumpet in the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly with the Mobile, Pensacola and Baton Rouge Symphonies.

Join us after the performance in the Grand Ballroom for classic movie concessions, an opportunity to show off your costumes, and a meet & greet with special guests.  Don’t forget your light sabers — you never know when the Empire will Strike Back!

Students of all ages just $15 and groups of 10+ purchased together receive a 25% discount.
