Music In The Movies

Postponed To Our 2021-2022 Season

Enjoy the amazing sounds of some of your favorite movies - Star Wars, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, and many more!  This evening will be fun for the whole family and folks of all ages.  You won't want to miss the special costumed guests and great photo opportunities.

Relax comfortably or dress up - the Rebel Alliance or The Galactic Empire; Jack Sparrow or Will Turner - the choice is yours.

Guest conductor Chris Confessore of the Alabama Symphony will delight the audience as he ushers us through these cinematic adventures.

Meridian sounds reel!

UPDATE 02/20/2021:

Nearly one year into the global pandemic, our community has mastered the art of adapting to any circumstance we may be faced with. The Meridian Symphony Association’s priority has been and continues to be the health and safety of our community.

After much consideration and ongoing discussion with leading local medical professionals, the Meridian Symphony Association has chosen to postpone our Music in the Movies Concert (originally scheduled for March 20) until our 2021-2022 Season. However, we will be debuting two Salon Concerts, Duo Cintemani and Impromptu Piano Trio, in late March and early April. Both of these Salon Concerts will be performed by MSO musicians, recorded in partnership with the USM School of Communication - Media and Entertainment Arts, and distributed through our new streaming campaign, MSO @ Home, for subscribers and the general public.

On behalf of the Meridian Symphony Association’s staff and Board of Directors, we sincerely thank our patrons for their patience and cooperation. We are postponing Music In The Movies and adapting to virtual programming with only the greatest concern for the wellbeing of our community in mind, and we appreciate your support. Meridian Sounds Amazing!
